Mixed Martial Arts

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is the world's fastest growing sport. It combines the best techniques from various martial arts to form the most effective combat sport and self defence discipline on the planet.

At Triune MMA you can train just like your favourite UFC fighter but in accordance to where you are at now with skill and fitness. You can learn and practice proven techniques that work in the cage and also in everyday self defence situations. Your fitness and confidence will also grow immensely as you apply yourself to regular training.

Kickboxing & MMA Striking

Striking and defending against strikes is a main facet of the sport of MMA and of self defence. Striking in professional mixed martial arts utilises fist strikes, kicks, knees and elbows. It is important to have good technique in all these areas as well as having good defence against all these striking techniques.

When it comes to self defence situations, it could mean life or death to know firstly - how to defend against various strikes, but also how to execute your own striking to get out of trouble.

At Triune we have Kick Boxing/Striking and MMA classes that cover many various striking and defensive techniques as well as takedowns and grappling.

Boxing

Boxing is a great way to get fit and it's super fun. At Triune we run a number of boxing classes for the whole family. You can learn boxing skills and techniques which will help your general coordination, fitness, confidence and mental health.

While most people who train boxing at Triune do not have aspirations to compete, we do have a fight team that is growing. You will be in good hands in the boxing ring with coach Bretto, who just recently won an amateur LHW Masters Interstate Title against a 2 x Australian Masters Champion.

The classes are not box-fit, they are technical boxing classes which will get you just as fit as box-fit, but with skills that work in the boxing ring and MMA cage.

Kids & Juniors

Far from a thug sport, MMA should produce fit, confident, disciplined kids who don't need to prove anything. Fun, self defence, fitness, sportsmanship, friendship, discipline, motivation and confidence are some of what kids gain from Kids/Juniors/Teens MMA, BJJ and Boxing at Triune.

Fitness and concentration improve while they learn to defend themselves in a friendly, safe environment.

  • Kids (5–11): BJJ and Boxing.
  • Juniors (8–15): MMA, BJJ and Boxing.

Fight Fitness

You'd be hard pressed trying to find fitter athletes than MMA/cage fighters. Using a combination of strength and cardio exercises based around Mixed Martial Arts, Boxing and Kick Boxing produces strong, fit and agile people... not to mention how fun it is. We also include Interval training, body weight and other forms of exercise.

Fight Fitness is Triune's program that will help you get into the best shape you've ever been... whether you're a competitive fighter or just a regular person who wants more out of life. The classes are for both women and men of all fitness levels and abilities. Burn fat the fun way and have a longer better life.

Self Defence

While many different traditional martial arts like Boxing, Muay Thai, Karate, Judo, Tae Kwon Do etc, can boast some genuine real life self defence skills, nothing compares to MMA because it uses the best techniques from many of the arts and blends them into a sport and art that works best in any self defence situation, whether standing or on the ground, whether you are in an obviously dominant position, or a really bad position (like on your back).

All of our classes will help you to have more confidence and be able to defend yourself better in life. Our MMA, BJJ/Submission grappling, Boxing, Kick Boxing and Fight fitness classes will prepare you to handle bad situations with more skills, strength & athleticism, confidence and wisdom.

Coach Bretto is a professional MMA fighter, Amateur Boxer, BJJ Black Belt under Pasha Stolyar and seasoned Submission grappler. We have a great team of competitors and corner-men to look after you leading up to your match and on the day.

Main mat area with a full padded wall for cage-type work and a half boxing ring with ropes. 6ft bags, boxing bags, floor-to-ceiling and speed balls, kick shields, ground-and-pound bags, thick crash mat for throws and takedowns.

Strength and conditioning gear: power rack and weights, battle ropes, Air Assault bike, slam balls.
